Southlake Equity Group invests in lower middle market companies with headquarters or operations in the South Central United States, an area encompassing Texas and its neighboring states. Our target market includes approximately 8,000 companies with annual revenues between $25 million and $200 million within driving range or a short flight from our headquarters located just outside of Dallas, Texas.
Our deep regional roots and extensive experience in the South Central United States help us surface attractive transactions out of sight of nationally or globally focused firms. We have also found that sellers and management teams frequently prefer a local partner who can be counted on to work side-by-side with them as they confront the transitions associated with selling a company or managing change.
Once we identify an opportunity, proximity is essential to the full execution of our investment approach. We work closely with sellers - whether founders, owner-operators, or corporate parents -- throughout the transaction process to ensure certainty of close. And, we remain deeply involved with management teams and the communities in which our companies operate over the entire life of an investment, providing support, direction and commitment as we jointly address challenging strategic and operational issues.
