Investment Strategy
Southlake Equity Group invests in lower middle market companies with headquarters or significant operations in the South Central United States, an area encompassing Texas and its neighboring states. The firm acquires companies with enterprise values from $20-$150 million, although it will consider smaller transactions as add-ons to existing platform investments.
Southlake Equity Group’s approach is built on bringing decades of experience completing complex transactions and managing difficult business issues to the lower middle market, where companies face the same challenges as much larger enterprises but often lack the capital or capacity to address them.
The firm focuses on closing a small and select number of transactions, an approach which enables the principals to invest heavily in building the trust and rapport required to navigate the many obstacles prevalent in lower middle market transactions and helps deliver a successful outcome for all parties. We also build strong working relationships with management teams during the transaction process to build mutual trust and ensure that the commitment needed to drive performance improvement exists from the first day an investment is completed.
